Additional notes of Zoho, from most to least significant details

1. 20081220075946: As an online office suite, it rates:
   
1. 20081220080213: consistently reviewed better & more complete than leader Google Docs
2. 20081220080231: may well be the best available.
3. 20081220080706: it's list of applications (see http://Zoho.com) is remarkably big & complete, and the apps are heavily integrated (as sharing logins and sometimes storage) but can also be well used individually as well as any combination, and each program (as Sheet, a take-off of Excel) can do most all the basic & medium functions, and often advanced functions (as macros).
   
2. 20081220075731: Like Google Docs, based on Google Gears technology which Google developed primarily for their Google Docs, but interestingly seems to beat Google here.

4. 20081220092039: small (but risky) con: notable use of many primary domain names instead of just one. (under construction!)
   Specifically, for email and perhaps other uses, using Zoho(CRM|Projects|Writer|Sheet|...).com and NOT (CRM|Projects|Writer|Sheet|...).Zoho.com
1. 20081219050336: My first glance to http://www.zoho.com/contact.html was a bit shocking.  I saw a very long list of emails in the form of
   
   1. support@Zoho(CRM|Projects|Writer|Sheet|...).com   instead of
   2. support@(CRM|Projects|Writer|Sheet|...).Zoho.com
      
   In other words:
   
   1. Zoho has very-oddly registered and is publicizing about 30 PRIMARY domain names (costly and very confusing),
   2. Instead of doing of these subdomains of Zoho.com, which is:
      1. The standard & expected (& arguably better) thing to do.
      2. Clear to any user (plus HTTPS security) that these all belong to Zoho.com 
      3. Thus more secure as well (or do I now need to register some fake domain, as ZohoClients.com and start fooling users that this is really Zoho, maybe even a Trojan horse getting Zoho logins.
         
      4. Match the good existing convention of say http://Sheet.Zoho.com to access Sheet, etc
